Who is FarmWise?

FarmWise is a long-standing consultancy service originally operated under the Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC), a farmer-owned co-operative in New Zealand.

History of FarmWise

  • Established over 30 years ago, FarmWise has been a key service offering tailored consultancy to thousands of farming operations across New Zealand.

  • It has supported farmers through both prosperous and challenging seasons, offering science-based, practical advice to improve farm productivity and sustainability.

Recent Changes

  • As of 1 September 2025, FarmWise has transitioned to operate as an independent consultancy.

  • The skills, experience, knowledge and service offerings from the FarmWise team have been further enhanced to deliver a relevant service for today's needs.
